July 4th weekend - take two

Brad's brain hatched the idea of a 50 foot long slip and slide
for the hill at the cabin.
So early Sunday morning he headed to Menards to get the supplies he needed.
It was the hit of the weekend.

There was a sprinkler going over the top of the slide to keep it wet.
And we lathered their butts and the floats they rode down on with dish soap.
Next time we'll use baby oil....they will really fly!

The smiles say it all:))

Can't let the kids have all the fun.
We found some old clothes.
Stood and contemplated.
Worried about hurting ourselves.

And went for it anyway

The kids thought we were cool

And so did we!

Then we wiped out Amelia

Good thing she's tough!

Sparklers started early

And we had a great fireworks show from some unknown people down on the sandbar.
It went on for a good hour and we had great seats on our deck to watch them.

It was a great day spent with great friends.
Monday was low-key.
The kids (and adults) were tired from three fun days.
We spent the day at home and at the pool.
I got to wear my awesome red white and blue jersey dress.
Amelia was thrilled to get her picture taken.....
actually I think the sun was in her eyes:)

Nash was a trooper the whole weekend!

A happy week to you all!!
