surviving the rainy day blues

My steps on how to survive this miserable weather.
Go to Target.
Once in Target, go directly to Starbucks
and get the beverage of your choice.

Ignore the bakery smell.
It's not worth it.
Buy some apples instead.
Proceed to the dollar aisle.
Buy some cheap things to entertain the kids
and yourself.

Go home and make some bracelets.

Make Stikits with the kids.

Take a nap.

Or just relax....

Look at the clock and realize it's only 3:00.
Send the kids out to play in the rain.
It's totally worth it for a little peace and quiet.
The rest of the day is up in the air.
Fingers crossed for sunshine tomorrow!

On a sidenote, my dad's birthday was Wednesday and we celebrated
last night with lasagna and birthday cake.
Happy birthday Dad!

And a few impromptu pictures I took while a friend was over for a playdate

Helps to have gorgeous subjects!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

  1. Oh, I know this rain today totally sucked! I'll be at Target bad ours doesn't have a Starbucks, but I one stop at Barnes and Noble and problem solved. Hopefully tomorrow will be dryer.
